Notes:
1. The maximum sum covered for referred occupation is less than RM1,000,000. Please refer to the proposal form for the detailed plan and contribution.
2. Child benefits (if elected):
a. AD/PD is 20% of the Adult's Sum Covered and 100% for other benefits.
b. Non-working children aged 12 months to 18 years old (irrespective of the number of children).
c. Weekly benefit is not applicable to children.
3. The benefits for spouse are 100% of the participant's amount (if elected).
3. Benefits
3.1 Accidental Death (AD) & Permanent Disablement (PD)
We will pay the sum covered specified in the benefit schedule in accordance with the scale of benefits if the Covered Person sustains accidental death or permanent disablement.
3.2 Double Benefit
We will pay double the principal sum covered if the Covered Person sustains accidental death, total paralysis or loss of two limbs whilst traveling as a fare paying passenger in any public transport.
3.3 Weekly Benefit
We will pay the weekly amount as specified in the table above if the Covered Person sustains Temporary Total Disablement occurring within twenty-one (21) days from the date of accident.
3.4 Medical Expenses
We will pay on reimbursement basis the actual medical and surgical expenses not exceeding the amount as specified on the Schedule when require medical treatment by a qualified registered medical practitioner within 12 calendar months after the date of the accident (provided that the first expense is incurred within 26 weeks after the date of the accident).
3.5 Compassionate Allowance
We will pay up to RM2,000 in the event of accidental death.
3.6 Repatriation Expenses
We will pay on reimbursement basis the actual repatriation expenses up to RM5,000 in sending the Covered Person's mortal remains back to Malaysia or his/her country of domicile in the event of accidental death.

Increasing Cover
At each certificate anniversary, we will increase the sum covered by an additional 5% of the principal sum covered up to a maximum of 8 years or RM400,000 (whichever lower and inclusive of all Personal Accident takaful with us) as long as you have not made a claim on AD/PD.
4. Surplus Sharing
One unique feature of Takaful is the sharing of net surplus from the Takaful operation. You are entitled to a share of the surplus (if any) as long as you have not made a claim during the period of Takaful.
The surplus will be allocated to you by providing you with a rebate when you renew your coverage for Takaful Pelindung. The basis of the rebate will be determined by PBTB in an equitable way.
If the surplus for a particular year is more than your renewal contribution, the excess rebate (on top of the renewal contribution), will be aggregated and donated to charitable organisations.
Note : Certificate will terminate upon:
1. the expiry date of the certificate; or
2. the payment of the death benefit; or
3. the payments of the permanent disablement (100% of sum covered); or
4. the receipt of instructions from the Participant to terminate this certificate
5. the serving of 14 days' cancellation notice via A.R. registered mail by the takaful operator
Major Exclusions
War risk
Nuclear weapon or nuclear related risk
Traveling in an aircraft as a pilot or a member of the crew
Traveling in a helicopter
Pre-existing physical or mental defects or infirmity
Childbirth, miscarriage and pregnancy risk
Insanity, suicide or attempted suicide
Committing or attempting to commit unlawful act
Participating in any professional sports
Terrorism risk
Your Duty of Disclosure
You are required to complete the proposal form fully and completely when signing up for a Takaful cover. You should disclose fully all material facts, e.g. any previous claims, occupation, annual income, etc. When in doubt as to whether a fact is relevant or not, it is best to ask your intermediary. If you fail to disclose any material fact, your claim may not be payable.
Contribution
The contribution you pay for your Takaful Pelindung will depend on the selected plan and the classification of your occupation. On top of the contribution, you need to pay for the stamp duty of the certificate which is RM10 currently and if the participant is a company, Service Tax at 5% of the contribution.
Certificate Document
Please contact us if you have not received the certificate after one month of the payment of contribution.
Claim Procedure
The Participant (or the Participant's legal personal representative in the event of the death of the Participant) must give written notice to us within fourteen (14) days after the happening of the accident likely to give rise to a claim and shall as soon as possible procure and act on proper medical or surgical advice.
In the event of the death of the Covered Person, we shall be entitled to have a post mortem examination at the claimant's own expense and notice shall, when practicable, be given to us before interment or cremation stating the time and place of any inquest appointed.
The death of the Covered Person shall be established by an Official Death Certificate or in the event of his disappearance following an accident by written evidence or official findings of the Relevant Authorities presuming his death.
