About charity option

Charity Option is a facility made available to our customers who wish to help the community in needs while securing their legacy planning through Takaful benefits. You can now extend care to less fortunate communities and make a difference in their lives while reaping rewards that last beyond a lifetime.

With Charity Option, you can choose to channel a portion of your death benefits under your Takaful certificate to the available charity organisations appointed by PruBSN.

This facility is currently available for PruBSN WarisanGold certificates.

There are two charity organisations available that you can choose from, which are:

  • Sadaqah to PruBSN Prihatin
    • PruBSN Prihatin is a charitable society that was established on 23 March 2015. It provides access to education and life skills, health and well-being, and disaster relief for disadvantaged families and communities around Malaysia.
  • Waqaf to Yayasan Wakaf Malaysia
    • Yayasan Waqaf Malaysia is a national waqaf entity and was established in 2008 under the Trustee Act 1952. Their objective is to develop and advance the waqaf properties nationwide.

  • This facility of Charity Option is currently available for PruBSN WarisanGold certificates where the Covered Person is the Participant.
  • You can allocate to the charity organisation up to 30% of the death benefits under your eligible takaful certificate.
  • Please note that the charity allocation shall first be payable from the death benefit to the charity organisation based on the Participant’s instruction prior to the payment of the remaining death benefits to the claimant or nominee(s) (if applicable).
  • Participants are advised to ensure that their family member or their nominee under the Nomination is aware of their intended instruction for the Charity Option.

How can I do Charity Option?

If you wish to do Charity Option in your PruBSN WarisanGold certificate, you can download the Charity Option Form from the Corporate Website under Forms & Documents and submit through your servicing agent or submit to any PruBSN branches.
