A Convenient Way to Review Certificates and Enrol in Takaful

These uncertain times of COVID-19 have given all of us much to worry about, however, we want to ensure you can stop worrying about two things – getting yourself financially well-prepared, and having safe and easy access to a Takaful Agent to help you get the protection coverage you need.

Remote Enrolment Option or REO, is an innovative solution by Prudential BSN Takaful (PruBSN) giving you access to your takaful certificates if you need to review them, as well as making it possible to sign up for Takaful virtually.

Via REO, you will be connected online to one of our Takaful Agents who can answer all your questions and help you decide the right protection for you, all at your convenience, from the comfort of your own home. These consultations will be conducted virtually, with no physical meetings required in order for you to sign up for takaful. REOs will be conducted via video calls, be it Whatsapp, Skype, Zoom, Facetime and so on, with our Takaful Agents guiding you through the process.

Follow our simple guide below, to help you get started.

Step 1

  • Fill in the online contact form (https://app.prubsn.com.my/cws/talktous) or call us at +603 2053 7188.

  • Once your Takaful Consultant understands your needs and requirements, an appointment via a video conferencing app of your choice will be setup.

  • We’ll connect you to a Takaful Consultant who will communicate with you to get an idea of your protection needs and requirements. As demand for the REO service is at high capacity during this MCO/CMCO/RMCO period, please allow us up to seven (7) working days to get back to you.

Step 2

  • During the video call, your Takaful Consultant will conduct an e-presentation and introduce you to suitable Takaful plans that meet your needs. Feel free to ask them any questions you have during this session in order to help you make the right decision.

  • If necessary, follow-up video calls can be arranged, as we want to make sure you find the right protection plans for you.

Step 3

  • Once you’ve made your decision, your submission will be made by the Takaful Consultant on your behalf.

  • All you need to prepare is your MyKad. When requested for by your Takaful Consultant, snap a selfie with your MyKad – both the front and back – and send those images over to your Takaful Consultant. This helps us ensure that you are who you say you are, and not an unscrupulous individual who somehow has access to your MyKad.

Step 4

  • Once your submission is completed, you will receive an e-mail from PruBSN with the full details of your chosen certificate.

  • If everything is in order, reply the email by simply typing “Yes” within two (2) working days to approve your submission. Failure to reply within the stipulated timeframe will automatically result in the cancellation of your application process.

  • After you have replied “Yes”, PruBSN will process your application. Upon approval, an initial contribution will be required before your cover starts. You will then receive your e-certificate within two (2) working days.


And that’s it! You are now fully protected by your chosen takaful certificate.
