Dr. Abdullaah bin Jalil holds a Bachelor of Shariah (Fiqh and Islamic Studies) with first class or "Mumtaz" achievement from University of Yarmouk, Jordan. He also completed his Master of Business Administration (Islamic Banking and Finance) in 2004 from International Islamic University of Malaysia (IIUM) where he was awarded the Program's Best Student Award.

He is currently pursuing his PhD in Islamic Finance at the International Centre for Education in Islamic Finance (INCEIF). He is currently a Senior Lecturer at the Faculty of Economics and Muamalat, Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM).

Some of his past and present positions in his institution (USIM) are Shariah Panel at World Fatwa Management and Research Institute (INFAD), Shariah Compliance Officer for the application of MS 1900:2005 and Research Fellow at Islamic Finance and Wealth Management Institute (IFWMI).

In addition, he was also a member of the Committee for the Coordination of Muamalat, Takaful, Islamic Banking and Finance Curriculum at Ministry of Higher Learning and a member of the panel of experts who have contributed to the development of MQA 2012 Standard for Muamalat and Islamic Finance.

He is also a member of Shariah Committee at Bank Rakyat Malaysia (including Zakat Committee of Bank Rakyat and Rakyat Holdings). He has written books, chapters in book, journals as well as actively involved in presenting papers in conferences and seminars.

Wan Rumaizi

Wan Rumaizi Wan Husin

Wan Rumaizi holds a B.A in Fiqh and Usul al-Fiqh from Al-Bayt University of Jordan with Jayyid Jiddan (Distinction), Masters in Fiqh and Usul al-Fiqh from International Islamic University of Malaysia (IIUM) and he is currently pursuing his PhD in Islamic Banking and Finance in IIUM. He has more than 15 years teaching and research experience in the field of Fiqh and Usul Al-Fiqh, in both English and Arabic languages.

He is also a Shariah Committee member for Bank Kerjasama Rakyat since 2011 and also Shariah Board Member for Al-Rajhi Bank since 2016.

He has been involved in numerous Shariah research exercises and has presented many papers in Islamic Finance conferences, among others are research papers on Sections 179-191 of Contracts Act 1950, Law of Contract Specialist's session, 4th International Conference on the Harmonisation of Law and Shariah, Attorney General Chamber Putrajaya and a paper on Capital Guarantee in Mudharabah at ISRA' Thematic Workshop, Lanai Kijang.

Dr Ahmad Zaki

Dr. Ahmad Zaki Salleh

Dr. Ahmad Zaki Salleh holds a Bachelor Degree in Fiqh and Usul al-Fiqh from Al-Bayt University of Jordan, Masters in Fiqh and Usul al-Fiqh, and PhD in Fiqh and Usul al-Fiqh from International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM). He began his career at IIUM in year 2001 before joining Islamic Science University of Malaysia (USIM) as a full time lecturer in 2005.

Currently, he is the Deputy Dean for Academic and Research at the Faculty of Shariah and Law, USIM. He has been supervising a number of Masters and PhD candidates in Shariah, Islamic Finance and Muamalat field. He has also published many articles on Islamic law of contract, Islamic Banking and Islamic Capital Market, and actively involved in numerous research projects at his institution.

He was also appointed as a Syariah Consultant in the International Islamic Finance & Insurance Consultancy firm since 2010, a member of the Shariah Committee with Bank Simpanan Nasional since 2011 and a member of the Shariah Advisory Council for the Australian Centre for Islamic Financial Studies (ACIFS) Brisbane, Australia since 2012.

Prod Datuk Dr Syed Otman

Professor Datuk Dr. Syed Othman Alhabshi

Professor Datuk Dr. Syed Othman Alhabshi is the Deputy President Academic of the International Centre for Education in Islamic Finance (INCEIF). He joined INCEIF as Professor of Islamic Economics & Econometrics and Head of Takaful Faculty in March 2007.

He holds a B.Econs (Hons) in Statistics from University of Malaya, M.S. (Statistics) from University of Wisconsin, U.S.A. and Ph.D.in Econometrics from University of Birmingham, U.K. Since 1969, he has served in various academic capacities in four public universities in the country, namely University of Malaya, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, International Islamic University Malaysia and Universiti Utara Malaysia. In October of 1997, he served as the Founding President and CEO of Universiti Tun Abdul Razak until March 2005, after serving Institute of Islamic Understanding Malaysia (IKIM) as the Deputy Director-General from 1992 to 1997.

He was a member of Etiqa Takaful Berhad Board (1995-2013), Maybank Islamic Board (2006-2014), Asia Unit Trust Board (1994-2012), among others. He is currently a member of the Board of Directors of Prima Prai Sdn Bhd., Epen Bina Sdn Bhd., Universiti Teknikal MARA Sdn. Bhd. and Institut Kefahaman Islam Malaysia (IKIM). He is also a member of Dubai Center for Islamic Banking & Finance Advisory Board, Malaysian Insurance Professional Standards Council (MIPSC) dan IFSB Working Group – Guiding Principles for Retakaful (Islamic Reinsurance) Undertakings.

He now sits on Shariah Advisory Committee for Prudential BSN Takaful Berhad, Labuan Reinsurance (L) Ltd., Amanah Mutual Berhad (formerly known as Maybank Unit Trust Berhad) and Singapore Unit Trusts Ltd. (SUT). He is also a Shariah Advisor for Nomura Asset Management Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. and a Certified Shariah Individual by the Securities Commission of Malaysia.

Professor Datuk Dr. Syed Othman has written and published numerous articles on various topics related to Islam, Economics, Banking, Takaful, Ethics and has written and edited a total of 12 books.
